Centered in the small towns of Newark in Nottinghamshire and Bakewell in the heart of the Peak District National Park, this tour takes us through a variety of scenery and attractions from historic houses and castles to rugged hills, ancient market towns to bustling modern cities.

We will meet at manchester Airport, and transfer to Newark which will be our base for the first week. From here we will explore the East Midlands - Nottingham, Lincoln, with its fine castle and cathedral, and the stately home of Belton House, amongst others. Our second week, based in Bakewell, in the heart of the Peak District National Park will allow us to look at such places as the show caves near Castleton, the National Tramway Museum and take a traditional English high tea at Chatsworth House.

There is plenty of opportunity to wander at your own pace, too -- after all, this is supposed to be a vacation!

Those on the 10-day option will be shuttled back to Manchester airport from Bakewell, while the 14-day option will have a few more days to enjoy the delights of the Peak District.
